All major health days, both inside the hospital and outside within the community, are actively observed by the Medical Social Work Department at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences. These observances are designed to promote informed health choices among patients, students, and the wider public and to increase general awareness and preventive practices.
With key health day themes, the department organizes awareness sessions and workshops that communicate the purpose of these days. To meaningfully engage students and participants, interactive activities such as quiz competitions, poster & collage contests, exhibitions, and chart presentations are conducted. The department also coordinates more outreach efforts like street plays and awareness rallies to ensure health messages are reaching the right audiences in impactful ways.
